MonyChann
McCarty
Born in America, MonyChann “Mo” McCarty was raised in the shadow of the Khmer Rouge. A writer, keynote speaker, mental health advocate, podcast host, and founder of Unorthodox Therapy, Mo gives language to a rarely told story: what happens when genocide follows a family into the next generation.
Through her forthcoming memoir, Born in America, Raised by the Khmer Rouge, Mo uses her voice to explore inherited trauma, identity, faith, mental health, and healing. At the center of her story is Jesus Christ, whose restoring power turned her pain into purpose, her silence into voice, and her survival into a calling.
